Presented on limited-edition Toxic Green vinyl, Aborted From Reality is the second studio album from US death metal duo Static Abyss. Although a relatively new project, the band is built on decades of extreme metal pedigree, bringing together Greg Wilkinson (guitar and bass) and Chris Reifert (drums and vocals), both renowned for their work with legendary death metal pioneers Autopsy.

Following the acclaimed 2022 debut Labyrinth of Veins, Aborted From Reality expands upon the duo's uncompromising vision with a crushing blend of old-school death metal, doom and crust punk. Monolithic riffs collide with haunting, hypnotic guitar leads, creating an oppressive and unsettling atmosphere, while Reifert's unmistakable, deranged vocals add another layer of raw intensity. The result is a relentless descent into sonic madness that is both brutal and deeply immersive.

Recorded at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, California, and engineered, mixed and mastered by Greg Wilkinson, the album captures the band's raw, organic sound with remarkable clarity and power. Once again featuring disturbing artwork by All Things Rotten, this limited Toxic Green vinyl edition includes a printed inner sleeve with full lyrics, making it an essential release for fans of uncompromising underground death metal.
