Originally formed in London in 1995 under the name Our Haunted Kingdom, Orange Goblin have become one of the UK's most celebrated heavy metal bands. Emerging during the mid-1990s stoner rock and doom metal explosion, the quartet made an immediate impact with their 1997 debut Frequencies from Planet Ten. Since then, they have built a formidable reputation through relentless touring alongside legendary acts including Alice Cooper, Danzig and Heaven & Hell, while releasing a succession of critically acclaimed albums such as Time Travelling Blues, The Big Black, A Eulogy for the Damned and The Wolf Bites Back.

Science, Not Fiction marks the band's debut for Peaceville Records and the first album to feature bassist Harry Armstrong alongside the long-standing line-up of Ben Ward, Joe Hoare and Chris Turner. Exploring the complex relationship between science, spirituality and religion, the album examines how these forces shape the human condition through thought-provoking lyrics and Orange Goblin's trademark blend of crushing Sabbath-inspired riffs, infectious hooks and thunderous grooves.

Recorded at Woodworm Studios in the UK and produced and mixed by Grammy Award-winning producer Mike Exeter (Black Sabbath), with mastering by Peter Hewitt-Dutton at The Bakery in Los Angeles, Science, Not Fiction is a powerful addition to the band's acclaimed catalogue. This double vinyl edition is presented in a gatefold sleeve and includes the exclusive bonus track Eye of the Minotaur, making it an essential release for fans of classic heavy metal and stoner rock alike.
