Limited to just 750 copies on crimson vinyl, Ragged Kingdom is the acclaimed collaboration between legendary English folk singer June Tabor and long-standing roots pioneers Oysterband. Released to coincide with the duo's farewell tour, this celebrated album blends traditional folk with contemporary songwriting, featuring sublime interpretations of Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart and John Parish and PJ Harvey's That Was My Veil.

A worthy successor to their landmark 1990 collaboration Freedom and Rain, Ragged Kingdom was born after Tabor and Oysterband reunited for fRoots magazine's 30th anniversary concert at London's Roundhouse in 2010. Rediscovering their remarkable musical chemistry, they entered the studio with longtime producer Al Scott to create an album that effortlessly bridges centuries of song. Traditional favourites such as Bonny Bunch of Roses and (When I Was No But) Sweet Sixteen sit comfortably alongside modern classics, united by powerful storytelling and emotional depth.

Recorded at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth and Metway Studios in Brighton during 2011, Ragged Kingdom showcases two of Britain's most respected folk acts at the height of their creative powers. This limited-edition reissue offers collectors and fans the chance to rediscover one of the finest collaborative folk albums of the 21st century.
