Cancer – The Sins Of Mankind
Vinyl 12"
Originally released in 1993, The Sins of Mankind is the third studio album from pioneering UK death metal band Cancer and marks a significant evolution in the group's sound. While retaining the crushing intensity and uncompromising brutality of their acclaimed earlier releases, To the Gory End and Death Shall Rise, the album introduces more ambitious songwriting, greater musical depth and a broader dynamic range, cementing its status as one of the band's finest achievements.
Recorded at The Windings Studio in Wrexham—renowned for sessions with Napalm Death, Gorguts and Anathema—and mixed by acclaimed producer Simon Efemey (Paradise Lost, Amorphis), the album showcases the formidable line-up of John Walker (guitar and vocals), Ian Buchanan (bass), Carl Stokes (drums) and lead guitarist Barry Savage. The result is a masterclass in British death metal that combines technical precision with relentless aggression.
Having built a devoted international following over a career spanning more than three decades, Cancer remain one of the UK's most influential extreme metal acts. This limited-edition coloured vinyl reissue features newly remastered audio, offering fans and collectors the definitive edition of a landmark album in the history of British death metal.
