This release presents one of Diddleys finest and hardest-to-find LPs, Boss Man. Consisting of a 1967 reissue of Diddleys 1957 eponymous debut album but with a different title and cover, it was released in the U.S. by Chess subsidiary Checker Records. In addition to the original masterpiece, this Vinyl Lovers special edition includes 2 bonus tracks from the same period: the blues Im Bad (B-side of the single Who Do You Love?), and the funny My Story (B-side of the single Road Runner). Between hypnotic and rhythmic guitar lines, swaggering vocals, hot numbers and more relaxed tunes, all of these songs showcase a young Bo Diddley at his raw and primal best.
