Moving Day

André 3000's Moving Day documents a quiet turning point in the artist’s life. Captured by filmmaker Dexter Navy in Venice Beach, California, the film follows André on the day he moved house—just before the recording of New Blue Sun. The 31-minute piece blends field recordings from the shoot with an impromptu on-camera Q&A, alongside a soundtrack composed in the studio by playing to the film both forwards and backwards. Also included is ‘Tunnels of Egypt’, an unreleased track from the New Blue Sun sessions. This three-track release offers a reflective, exploratory glimpse into André’s creative world.
